Starring: Jim Carrey, Morgan Freeman and Jennifer Aniston Directed by: Tom Shadyac Oh oh, that pair again, Shadyac + Carrey = fun but crappy films (e.g. Ace Ventura : Pet Detective and Liar Liar). Why is Jim being typecast into "transformer" films? I meant, he always becomes normal-to abnormal- to freaky and then back to abnormal (never to normal) in almost all of his movies, except for...except for.... We all loved "The Truman Show" and "The Majestic", and of course "Man on the Moon" (or maybe some of you did) but this preachy-film was too much, close to being blasphemous in some scenes. Freeman as God was not quite close to Oh God Books 1 to 3, you might even exclaim, "Oh my Gawwwwwwd", just like Aniston does in Friends. I would have missed it if not for the B-E-A utiful reviews others made. I enjoyed the post-it scene though. That's all. |
