CD :: Sondra Lerche Released : March 2003 Finally distributed locally. This Norwegian genius has been hanging out for years just to have that big break. His style with a cross between Aztec Camera and an acoustic Style Council speaks well of her '80s euro-pop foundations. Of course, growing up with the music inspiration of personal idols and Norway's best exports - A-ha. He played in this year's SXSW in Austin Texas and wowed the crowd who typically liked music as raw as possible. A cross between Belle and Sebastian with some mix of Gilberto-ish bossa nova hip, that's Lerche for me. Just as the US discovered John Mayer, and Canada discovered Michael Buble, Europe has this 20-year old, Sondra Lerche as their bet for youth greatness. |
