CD Title : Acoustic Night Out - VCD Released: August 2003 Some guys are better heard than seen. Paolo Santos is one of them. 30 tracks of great rendition of acoustic hits from John Mayer, DMB, Indigo Girls, Journey, Style Council etc. Great mix of songs which are all within the voice quality of Paolo. The quality of the recording though has a lot to improve on. We tend to lose some of the musicality during live recordings like these. This leaves the guitar sound like its coming from a tin can. Highlights of the VCD are Paolo's duet with Barbie Almalbis of Barbie's Cradle on "Don't Know Why" (Norah Jones), his own tracks like "Play With Me" and "Coffee Cup" as well as his take on John Mayer. If we talk about the voice and the guitar strumming, Paolo is passable. Other than that, lets not even go there. You can pass up on this one. Go for his newly released studio CD instead. |
